Winter is Coming Soon
If your new home project is not complete and you plan on applying either Sikkens Cetol Log & Siding or Lifeline Ultra 2 as your exterior finish, follow these steps to protect your logs before winter digs in its heels.
1. Clean your logs with X-180 Weathered Wood Preservative
2. Apply ShellGuard RTU Wood Preservative. Allow to dry for 3-5 days
3. Apply Sikkens Log Pretreatment
This will protect your logs while allowing them to dry gradually over the winter and keep their bright, clean look. When Spring comes, just pressure wash your logs to remove the Pretreatment and apply your final exterior finish. Remember...
Sikkens Major Price Increase Coming
We opened our mail this morning and found a price increase notice from Sikkens of $30 per five gallon pail for their Cetol Log & Siding Exterior Finish. That's the bad news....the good news is this price increase does not go into effect until December 8th. This means all orders for Sikkens products placed before December 8th will be at the current pricing. If Sikkens Cetol Log & Siding is the exterior finish you want to use on your home, now is the time to buy!
