HOW DO YOU APPLY SOY•GEL™?
For small jobs you can apply SOY•Gel™ with an inexpensive paint brush and glob it on to the surface . Be careful not to apply too thin a coat. Apply a 1/16th to 1/8th inch layer of SOY•Gel™ to the coating which is to be removed. For larger applications you can apply SOY•Gel™ with a straw broom or use a piston pump airless sprayer with a 519 tip. Allow the stripper time to work. Check the progress of the stripping action by using a scraper to see if the coating is softened down to the surface. If not, wait longer and recheck. SOY•Gel™ will remain wet and working for several hours. Longer is better. Let the stripper do its work. Once the coating is softened remove it with a scraper, industrial wet vacuum or other stripping tool. Reapply SOY•Gel™ when necessary to remove extra heavy coatings and repeat the steps above. After scraping off the final stripping residue, clean the surface by rinsing with water using a scrub brush or a power washer.
HOW LONG DO I LET SOY•GEL™ SIT BEFORE REMOVING?
Test scrape the surface every 10-30 minutes to see if the coating has lifted. Simple coatings like latex and urethanes take, on average, between 10-60 minutes. Epoxies and multiple layers of other coatings can take a few hours to overnight to lift. If applying outside, it is usually a good idea to cover with a thin mil plastic drop cloth to keep the SOY•Gel™ from drying out over an extended period of time.
WILL SOY•GEL™ RAISE THE GRAIN OF WOOD?
SOY•Gel™ it self will not raise the grain of wood. During final cleanup using too much water may raise the grain of the wood.
THESE ARE THE KIND OF RESULTS YOU CAN EXPECT WITH SOY•GEL™.

WHAT COVERAGE CAN I EXPECT WITH SOY•GEL™?
SOY•Gel™ will deliver coverage of 200 SF per gallon on horizontal surfaces and 130 SF per gallon on vertical surfaces.
